Painter's partition

We search the possible time limits. If the boards can be painted within some time, they can within any longer one, so the checks go false, …, true. The Range finds the smallest time, testing each guess by handing the boards out in order.

time is the answer space: every time limit. In boards each box is one painter; the numbered example shows each board's length below it and each painter's total time.
