Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Akshay Animated DSA (“we”, “us”) collects when you use akshayanimateddsa.in, why we collect it and how we protect it.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and, if you add one, phone number, when you sign up or log in (including with Google).
  • Purchase details: which course you bought, the amount, the date and the payment reference. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and are never sent to or stored by us.
  • Course access: which courses you can watch and until when.
  • Your progress: the Visual Lab visuals you mark as done, and when. Only you (and we) see it, to show your progress on the lab and lessons pages; you can untick any of them at any time.
  • Reviews: if you write a review, the name, the line under it, the rating and the text you enter. We show it on the website, with that name, only after we approve it; you can edit or withdraw it at any time.
  • Influencer sign-ups: if you sign up as an influencer, your name, phone or WhatsApp number, the links to your channels, your payout details (UPI id or bank account, used only to pay your commission) and anything you write to us. Only we see them.
  • Messages: anything you send us on WhatsApp or by email.
  • Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, device and browser type, collected by our hosting provider for security and to keep the website running.

2. How we use it

  • to create your account and let you log in;
  • to process your payment and give you access to the course you bought;
  • to answer your questions and provide support;
  • to show your progress through the course;
  • to show the reviews you choose to publish;
  • to tell you about your course, such as access expiry or a new live batch;
  • to prevent fraud and keep the website secure;
  • to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

3. Services we use

We share only the information each service needs to do its job:

  • Clerk: sign-up and login;
  • Razorpay: payment processing;
  • Cloudflare: website hosting and the database that stores course access;
  • YouTube: lesson videos are played through YouTube's embedded player, which is covered by Google's privacy policy;
  • Google Ads: to see which of our ads lead to a purchase (see Cookies below);
  • WhatsApp: when you choose to message us.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage for things the website needs, such as keeping you logged in and remembering small preferences.

We also use the Google tag from Google Ads. If you reach our site by clicking one of our Google ads, it sets a cookie that lets Google tell us when that visit leads to a purchase, with the order's amount and reference. We don't send Google your name, email, phone number or payment details. Google's use of this data is covered by Google's advertising policy, and you can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and purchase records for as long as your account exists and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we'll delete what we aren't legally required to keep.

6. Security

Your information is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored with providers that follow industry security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw any consent you've given. Message us on WhatsApp (+91 72079 78772) and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children

The website isn't directed at children under 13, and anyone under 18 should use it with a parent's or guardian's permission.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
